Evian is a lesser-known yet highly respected French watch brand active during the European watchmaking in the 1960s and 1970s. At a time when France still had a strong mechanical watch industry, Evian produced robust and functional timepieces inspired by professional and tool-watch design.
A particularly important detail on this watch is the “Besançon” marking on the dial. Besançon was the historical center of French horology and home to the Observatoire de Besançon, one of Europe’s most respected chronometric institutions. Watches associated with Besançon were expected to meet high standards of precision and reliability, making this marking a strong indicator of quality.

o Fine condition with strong geometry
o 38.5mm without crown guards and 40mm with crown guards / 46mm lug to lug / 11mm thickness / 20mm lug width

o Untouched black, lume preserved

o New 20mm suede yellow leather, but still have original one in rubber with label
Conclusion / Condition:
