The LIP T18 is the most iconic model of the French brand, created in the 1930s under Fred Lip’s leadership. Powered by the legendary rectangular Type 18 movement—renowned for its reliability and technical innovation—it became a symbol of French watchmaking. A T18 was famously gifted to Winston Churchill in 1948 for services during WWII. Produced until the 1950s in various Art Deco case shapes, including the rare “Carrosse” version, the T18 remains highly sought after by collectors for its historical importance, precision, and distinctive design.
