Multifort- This name stands for resistance against various stresses. Resistance against water, shock, and magnetic fields, as well as a steel case may be common today, but for a watch introduced in 1934 these features were a sensation (Rolex watches had to wait several years for a shock device). Moreover the movement had gold train and -lever. The decreased friction allowed a weaker and longer mainspring, and therefore less wear and increased power reserve. The disadvantage: Such a tiny watch was a symbol for enhanced technology in the thirties; today it appears more suitable for a lady's/junior wrist.
